How to save money in London

  1. Pret a Manger - £0.99 coffee

Filter coffee in Pret is just £0.99! They have branches everywhere.

2. Wetherspoons - Cheap pub chain

Wetherspoons pubs are all over London and the UK. They serve incredibly cheap drinks and hot food. They all have different names but are part of the same chain - just search for Wetherspoons on google maps.

3. Tour on a regular bus - £1.75

For just £1.75, you can hop on a public transport bus and see the city. Some of the bus routes (e.g. route 26) are really cool and go past lots of the main sights. I recommend getting on at the start of the route so that you can get a seat upstairs at the front!

4. Go inside St. Paul’s Cathedral and westminster abbey for free

Many tourists pay for a ticket to enter, but if you visit these buildings at the time of a service or choir, it is free to go inside and observe. Just check timetable on the official website of St. Paul’s Cathedral or Westminster Abbey.

5. Greggs

You are never far from a Greggs. They have reasonably priced sandwiches, sausage rolls, hot drinks and sweet baked goods.

6. Go to the park

London has 8 Royal Parks and many more beautiful parks too. Exploring them is a great and free way to enjoy London.

7. The best museums are free

London has so many free museums. For example, British Museum, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Tate Modern, Imperial War Museum, National Gallery and many, many more!
